Todd Hanson

Todd has more than 30 years as a nonprofit professional and community volunteer.  He served as Executive Director of Camp Fire Boys & Girls from 1993 - 2001 where he designed and implemented more than 20 new community-based programs serving more than 25,000 children, youth and families a year.  Todd served as the Vice President of the Orange County Community Foundation from 2001 - 2021 and was responsible for ensuring that the Orange County Community Foundation was the leading resource on philanthropy. Todd worked with donors to help them fulfill their philanthropic objectives in a strategic and effective manner; strengthening local nonprofits through grants and supportive resources; and incubating new ideas and bringing leaders together to address our community’s most pressing needs.  He is currently the Chief Operating Officer with the Council on Aging Southern California and is responsible for helping to grow the Council’s reach and impact for grant-funded programs in our 5-county service and lead the Company’s undertaking to improve efficiency across critical business functions. As a volunteer Todd was director of Camp Titan, youth baseball, soccer, and track coach for 9 years, director of coaches for the Orange Junior Soccer League.

Dr. Heather Teter, LSW

Dr. Heather Teter, LSW has 30 years of experience in the field of social work including experience in public mental health, both direct service as well as program management and program development, teaching, and school social work in a private residential school setting.  She is currently the Senior Manager of Student Health Services at Milton Hershey School and an Adjunct Faculty member at Elizabethtown College. In her role at Milton Hershey School, she is responsible to ensure that multi-disciplinary teams are established and work together effectively with the goal of providing holistic services to support all students as well as providing direct social work services to both students and their families.  As an Adjunct Faculty member, she is responsible for teaching Practice Classes focusing on working with families and groups to social work majors as well as other classes as needed.  Heather has experience leading organizations through crisis, change and growth as well as program development.  Heather’s areas of expertise are families and parent engagement in education, specializing in working with marginalized populations.

Jeff Long

Jeff has more than 20 years’ experience as a business owner, Executive Producer, Producer, and Director. Jeff has helped many Ad agencies, production companies, and Fortune 500 companies’ market, sell, and explain their products and services. He taught commercial production at Columbia College of Hollywood. Then his family experienced a mental health crisis. Jeff wrote the book, A Parent's Guide to Anorexia, with his wife Kathy, and recently started the nonprofit Teens4TeensHelp. Jeff agrees with the Mark Twain quote - "The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day when you discover why." Helping teens and families heal from mental health issues is his why.

Jeff is a Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude graduate from USC School of Cinematic Arts. His experience, skills, background, and passion make him uniquely suited for this role.

Kathy Long, L.Ac.

Kathy is a Licensed Acupuncturist and has been in private practice for over 25 years. She is a graduate of Yo San University in Santa Monica, CA and incorporates the practice of Functional Medicine along with Traditional Chinese Medicine in her practice.

She co-created a Continuing Education Course with Nicola Salter addressing emotional wellness.

She is co-author of the book, A Parent’s Guide to Anorexia, and since the onset of her child’s diagnosis of anorexia she has dedicated a great deal of her time to creating and running Teens4Teens Help.

She is passionate about collaborating with other organizations that are focused on helping teens and relies on her many years of experience running her own business to advance the nonprofit.
